The Guild of Shropshire Tour Guides is a new membership organisation specifically set up to promote tourism in and around Shropshire by the co-ordination and promotion of a professional Tour Guide Service.

Membership Benefits

Marketing

• The opportunity to market yourself and your guided tours through a dedicated website hosted and designed by Virtual Shropshire with no additional membership fee
• The Guild will advertise at a local, national and international level directly and through third parties on your behalf (with no additional fees)
• Members have free use of The Guild of Shropshire Tour Guides logo ‘ From Evolution to Revolution’
• The Guild can respond to enquiries from the UK and abroad directly through a dedicated Tour Guide Co-ordinator

Insurance

• Associate Membership of The Guild entitles you to FREE Public Liability Insurance when referred guiding work through The Guild

Other Benefits

• Benefit both personally and professionally from opportunities to network
• Opportunities to participate in training specifically related to guiding
• Membership entitles you to attend the AGM and vote a representative onto the Council of Management

What do we ask from you?

• Agree to the Guilds’ Code of Conduct
• When the Guilds’ Co-ordinator passes on work to a member of The Guild, the member will agree to pay 10% of the total price of the guiding
