Martin Wood
Standing at 7ft 2ins tall, this gentle giant has been the Town Crier of Shrewsbury and Atcham for 20 years.

In that time he has led thousands of people on walking tours of his beloved town showing them the historical buildings and bringing characters from the past to life.

Martin has a range of tours to offer :- General, Ghosts, Pubs, River and Bridges as well as a walking tour of the set of the Dickens story, A Christmas Carol.

Martin spent 7 weeks as the double to Edward Woodward, (He used stilts) as the Spirit of Christmas Present and as double for Michael Carter as the Spirit of Christmas Future.

Alongside all of this Martin is also the "Body Double" for Hagrid from the Harry Potter films but he is always happy to show people his town, so come and visit, he`s waiting for you!
